Our every day May moments 🌸

Boy Forts

One day I will miss these messy forts. The boys had way too much fun making this.

Paint Project: Mudroom and Entryway

Did I very suddenly decide to paint everything in my house? Yes, yes, I did. I went and bought paint and didn’t look back. An unpopular opinion of mine is that I am not a big fan of open floor plans (for me!) – especially when the spaces are not set apart in some way. So once I started the main floor – it ALL had to be done! First stop, the entry way and mudroom (although you really can’t call it a mudroom – but it is the hallway when you come in from the garage 😉 LOVE this creamy white. Also, this is the one project I did finish this month however I never took a picture of the “after” before I moved in all sorts of stuff for my next project. But it looks lovely.

May Snow

No snow all winter and then we get a surprise May snow?! It only lasted a couple of hours but it had to be documented!

Hallie & Austin’s Wedding

We are so grateful we were able to go to Hallie and Austin’s wedding in Idaho. Read all about it HERE.

Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans

When Mark and I were in England, we went to the Harry Potter Studios and brought back some Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans. First of all, I bought WAY too many. But second, they bring a whole lot of giggles and gags. It is terrifying putting it in your mouth because there are some truly disgusting flavors, but it has made for some funny family moments.

Flower and Herb Garden

We added some more flowers and herbs to the mix. Read all about it HERE.

Miniature Golfing

It seems every spring we find our way to the miniature golf course and it is so fun. We had the most perfect day. Another spring bucket list item!

Paint Project: Kitchen

I have never painted GREEN before and I love it! We are doing this green all in the kitchen and then incorporating it in the living and dining room as well because… connected rooms. I also painted the island green but after living with it for awhile now, I am going to change it. I can’t put my finger on why, I just don’t love it. I love it everywhere else though! So project is still in the works.

Lydia’s Accident

Lydie took a tumble which was so sad. Read all about it HERE.

Paint Project: Living and Dining Room

And then entered my third painting project of the month – the living and dining room. This is still ongoing because we are putting shiplap all throughout these rooms. I think it is going to look SO GOOD but it takes time. So no one come visit me right now – my home feels like a disaster.

Lydia’s 7th Birthday

We got to celebrate our sweet little Lydie. Read all about it HERE.
