Last month, we were able to travel to Idaho to celebrate Hallie and Austin’s wedding. We feel so blessed that there are so many happy family gatherings happening this year. Lots of marriages and babies on the Berning side this year!
And we are so happy that we could be there for Hallie and Austin. I told Hallie that her wedding was absolute perfection in my book. It was all my dreams I ever had for my wedding! I always wanted a backyard wedding and they did such a beautiful job of making it simple and meaningful with whimsy all rolled into one. I loved it.
But truly the best part was the absolute JOY that was felt the whole weekend. It’s been so fun to see a different side of my niece’s at their weddings. Hallie and Austin were so filled with joy and gratitude and it was contagious. We are so happy for both of them and this new chapter in their lives.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding was being able to gather together as a family. I love long meaningful conversations and I felt like we had many of those. My heart loved it, even when some of the topics were heavy.
We maybe had a little bit too much fun in the sun and Lydie (and Mark) came home with a souvenir sunburn! We would do it all again in an instant though!
I found this note that Sarah left in our hotel room and it is just so her. I love her goodness so much.
