Boyd Lake

We went to Boyd Lake State Park which was a first for us! It was the most perfect night. The weather was perfect, views were great, and we just enjoyed our time together as a family. We walked the Swim Beach Point trail and it would be so fun to come back!

Arkansas Trip Planning

Our family trip this year is to Arkansas and we are getting so excited. We are planning on going in October and this month we finalized our plans. These are easily one of our family highlights of the whole year.

Kitchen and Living Room Makeover

Oh goodness, our house has felt in SHAMBLES for the last two months. I have to admit, I am ready to be done with it BUT I will also say I love what we have done. It looks like such a different space. We painted our living room and kitchen, added vertical shiplap to the living room and dining room (which kept us on our toes!), and changed out the curtains and lighting. We love how it is turned out!

Lory Hike

Jacob and Sarah are going on trek next month with our ward and so they’ve been doing some hikes as a youth group to get prepared. These were their views from a hike they did in Lory State Park.

Benjamin’s Half Birthday

Peach ice cream cones were a must!

Benjamin’s Room Makeover

And then if life wasn’t chaotic enough – I decided that while Mark was working on the paneling in the living room, I would makeover Benjamin’s room! Perhaps not my wisest of moments BUT it turned out so fun and he loves it! But the whole was a total disaster upstairs and down for about two weeks!

Summer Piano Recital

Jacob, Sarah, and Benjamin had their summer recital and they did beautifully. I am so proud of them and their efforts.

Neurology Appointment and Seizure Trial

Lydia has been participating in a seizure trial for the last two years and had her final appointment. She is a champion and hopefully some good comes from it.

She also had an appointment with her very favorite doctor, Dr. B. It felt like a while since we had seen him and we talked about her seizure activity and what changes might need to be made. We are going to do some more lab work and make some decisions later this summer.

Dress Up

Lydia is Sarah’s personal doll – and I think she is actually pretty okay with that. I love seeing this happy face.

Standardized Testing

Probably not the most fun two days but these two powered through. It was Benjamin’s first time taking a standardized test.
