Sarah’s 12th Birthday

This little sweetheart is growing up!  We both agreed that twelve feels so much older than eleven!  But we loved celebrating our girl.

For her birthday breakfast, Sarah requested crepes with all the extras, bacon, and chocolate milk.  It was oh so yummy.  Then we got ready and made our way to the arcade!  Sarah loved the motorcycle game and we learned Mark and Jacob are freakishly good at this older game (we spent most of our time with the older games!).  They both broke over 500 points three times!  It definitely gave us a whole lot of tickets!

That night, Sarah wanted to get Olive Garden to go and have a picnic at home (this has become the kid’s favorite thing).  Then we ended the night with oreo ice cream cake, cards, and presents.  It was a great day.

Sarah is an amazing person.  And she is a planner!  She never misses writing in her planner in the evenings for the next day.  She loves to be organized – not that she is rigid about it at all – but she loves to have a plan for the day ahead.

She loves music.  She is pretty eclectic in her tastes but really enjoys High School Musical right now.

Sarah is a hugger.  Physical touch is definitely one of her love languages, and she loves to snuggle and give hugs.

Sarah has a love for simple things and a big appreciation for homemade things.  She is always wanting to try to make food as homemade as possible – all of the components.  She is a pioneer woman at heart.  And something made from your own two hands is her favorite thing.

Possibly my favorite thing about Sarah is she is a peacemaker and a light.  I have said this from the day one.  She is truly the glue that unites us as a family.  She sees and brings out the best in each of us.  And that is how she is with everyone.  She loves people and truly only sees the good.  It is amazing to see a heart and spirit so good.

We love you so much, sis.
