Lydia turned nursery-age during the shut down of COVID and it wasn’t high on my list of things to think about. But when they announced earlier this month that we would begin going back to church for the whole two hours, I realized that it was something we needed to discuss.
Mark and I agreed that Lydia would just be our little buddy. We felt totally fine about it. The first week, I went into primary and Mark was going to take Lydia with him to Sunday School. After church, I saw Mark walking down the hall without Lydia and he told me that Lydia was in nursery!
I was so surprised! I wasn’t expecting it at all and was {strangely} emotional about it. The leaders were so sweet. Mark told me how one of the leaders told him that Lydia was welcomed and wanted in nursery.
As soon as Mark told me, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I don’t know if Lydia will go every week or what church will look like for her as she grows, but it meant so much to me for them to invite her. People are kind and good.
