Our second day of Camp de Vida turned out to be much shorter than we anticipated. But life happens and life got busy that day! We had to divide and conquer a bit, but we still had some great memory-making time together.
Well Gulch
Mark and “the bigs” left early for a morning hike. They had a great time! While they were busy hiking, I took Lydie to her horse therapy (and then she came home and promptly fell asleep!).
Morning Devotional
Mark and “the bigs” were gone all morning, but when they got back around lunch time, we had our devotional. We talked about four ways that we can come closer to Christ: by reading about Him in the scriptures, worshiping Him, serving others, and following His teachings. I loved this quote from Joseph Smith:
““The fundamental principles of our religion is the testimony of the apostles and prophets concerning Jesus Christ, that he died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended up into heaven;’ and all other things [pertaining to our religion] are only appendages to these.”
New School Year Goals / Supply List
After lunch, Lydie had her massage therapy. While she did that, “the bigs” and I were upstairs in our schoolroom. We made goals for this upcoming year and also made a list of supplies that we will need.
We all must have been tired, because we just didn’t have it in us to do any more that day with Camp de Vida – but the kids all ended the day with temple and other church activities. Another great day of life!
