A Tribute to John Williams

For Christmas this year, Mark gave Jacob, Sarah, and Benjamin tickets to the Colorado Symphony. This was a first for the kids and this last weekend they were able to attend. The Symphony was spotlighting Mark’s favorite composer, John Williams. And Mark has turned the kids into fellow John Williams fans. They can tell you the names of many, many soundtracks composed by John Williams. Benjamin, especially, is becoming quite the super fan.

The night of the symphony was so fun for all of them. They drove downtown and went to the Cheesecake Factory (the kids were dying to go again after I took them last year when we saw Aladdin). I am so grateful for these moments for the kids and for our whole family.

The set list included the Olympic Fanfare and Theme, Superman March, Music from Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Hook, Star Wars Main Theme, Wide Receiver, Elegy for Cello and Orchestra, “The People’s House” & “With Malice Towards None” from Lincoln, Theme from Jurassic Park, and E.T., Adventures on Earth.
