13 Years

13 Years! 13 years Mark and I have been married!

I don’t know a lot of country songs, but there a line in one that says “and I thought I loved you then”. If I were to sum up how I feel about Mark this anniversary – that would be it. I love Mark. And I have loved him for a good long while now. But, this year, I have fallen more and more in love with that man. He is such a good man. I’ve always known that but maybe not appreciated it as much as I should have. I am so grateful for him. He encourages, supports, and inspires me. He is truly my best friend and the person I would pick every single time as my partner in everything. He makes me laugh. He is an active part of our children’s lives and an amazing father. He is patient and kind. He works hard. He assumes the best in people. He makes me feel valued. And I know he loves me. And I am so grateful for that. You truly are “the best thing that ever happened to me.”

So “I thought I loved you then” Mark, but every year I love that I get to fall more and more in love with you. I can’t wait for forever more.
