“Next year I am going to be turning eight years old and will have the opportunity to be baptized. I am so excited! While I am waiting, I am preparing to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One way I can prepare is by learning the Articles of Faith.
There are thirteen articles of faith. These are statement of truth and help explain the foundation of our beliefs. They talk about the godhead, the doctrines of the gospel, the role of prophets and revelation, the organization of the Church, scriptures, rights of worship, and the purpose of the gospel.
My favorite article of father is number one:
“We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.”
I am grateful that we have the articles of faith to help guide us.”
