UTAH: Aquarium, Wedding, Birthdays, General Conference, and Easter

We had such a lovely week in Utah visiting family and enjoying some big events. Mark had to work so it was just the kiddos and me on this trip.

Little Nora

When we got to my parents home in Draper we were greeted by them, my sister, Megan, and little Nora. We hadn’t seen Megan and Nora since last summer and Nora has grown up so much. We all just adore her and it was so fun to spend some time with her.

Aquarium

The next day was a snowy and cold one. We decided to make our way to the aquarium and we had a blast. Gramps, Grammy, Megan, Linda, Nora, and our crew all went and so we were a good-sized group! Utah has such a great aquarium and we loved checking out their new exhibit.

Ester and Cade’s Wedding

The next day was WEDDING DAY! This is what brought us out to Utah and we were so glad we could be there. I was able to go to the sealing of Ester and Cade in the morning at the Taylorsville Temple. Then later that afternoon “the bigs” and I went to their ring ceremony, dinner, and reception.

It was a beautiful day and all the details of the wedding were stunning. I am so happy for Ester!

It was also such a wonderful blending of my worlds because I was able to see our Berning family and my Moldenhauer family! I loved all of the catching up.

I am truly so bummed that I didn’t take a single picture this day. But I had a steal one of the happy couple.

General Conference

We decided to extend our trip and stay the weekend (since Mark was going to be working anyway). It was fun to watch General Conference with my parents and participate in the solemn assembly. And my Mom was such a sweetheart and made fun conference boxes for the kids.

Nora’s 1st Birthday

We also got to celebrate Nora’s first birthday! I am so glad we were able to be there. Nora was absolutely darling and Megan and Linda put together such a great party – and we finally got to see Melina!

Jacob also worked so hard and crocheted a unicorn for Nora for her birthday. I am so proud of him!

Grammy’s Birthday

Next up was celebrating Grammy’s birthday! I made her a cake before I left and brought it with us and it was so fun to celebrate her. She loves her family so much and I hope she felt how much we love and appreciate her.

Easter

Then we got to celebrate Easter together which was really nice. My Mom made a delicious dinner and I am so grateful for all she does to make things extra special. She also put together an Easter egg hunt which was darling. She had special eggs for all of the kids and had candy in some and special personal notes written by Gramps and Grammy in others. I loved that idea.

I really don’t think we could have squeezed more into this week! It was so wonderful though and we are grateful for the family time that we had.
