Thanksgiving

We had such a delightful Thanksgiving week.  We watched a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (A LOT!), did Thanksgiving School, cooked and baked (A LOT!), and ate even more.  It was wonderful to be together as a family, to slow down, and to reflect on all that we are grateful for.

For Thanksgiving School, we made some seasonal magnets out of clay and they turned out so darling! It was one of those things that I know will bring me happy tears down the road to see them on my fridge.

For Thanksgiving dinner, each kiddo got to pick a dish that they wanted to be in charge of and everyone did great! We tried pumpkin waffles for Thanksgiving breakfast and those were definitely a keeper! We also changed things up ever so slightly and I found an idea to form my rolls into pumpkins. They were so fun! I also added another pie – just because – and made an apple cranberry pie which was oh so good!

This year our thoughts were turned to our Savior, our family, friends, our learning, callings that push us, good health, and learning about our family history.

Happy Thanksgiving, from the Bernings!
