A couple weeks ago, we went over to Utah to celebrate Grandpa’s 80th birthday! It was the first time we had been to their home in over a year and it was SO nice to be back! It took the kiddos about 7.8 seconds to run downstairs and start trying on the dress ups 😂
We were so grateful that what was going to just be a quick over-nighter, turned into a whole long weekend trip! On Grandpa’s birthday, we started off by visiting Cold Springs Trout Farm. This was such a neat place and exceeded all of my expectations! The kiddos could not get enough of the little {and BIG!} fish and it was a beautiful area.
Afterwards, we headed to the Dinosaur Park! We went here almost two years ago – when Lydie was just itty bitty – and it was so much fun to go back. The kids love the animatronic dinosaurs inside and you just can’t beat the life size dinosaurs outside around the park. It was a hit – AGAIN!
After the Dinosaur Park, we split up from Grandpa and Grandma so we could do a little shopping {hello Target!}. Then later that afternoon we surprised Grandpa with a big birthday party! It was so fun to have so much of the family there! It was great to catch up with everyone and to celebrate this man that we love so much.
The whole weekend was just perfect. We spent Sunday watching church together, playing games, and taking walks in the neighborhood. It was perfect.
It is great to be able to gather with loved ones! A beautiful place. Looks like it was a fun time.
It was a really wonderful weekend 💛
