Happy Easter! Moving the same week as Easter was a little tricky and we didn’t get to spend as much time in the season as we would have wanted, but it was still lovely. My Mom got the kiddos Easter baskets to share and then we did our family Easter baskets as well. So the kids had LOADS of candy and fun! We also dyed our Easter eggs and ate loads of yummy food.
We’ve taken some time this week since Easter to reflect on the reason behind Easter and it has been really sweet. I asked the kids why it’s important to learn about resurrection? We had a tender conversation. It felt especially tender this year as I reflect on events that extended family members are going through and it has also become a tender topic for me with Lydia. I can’t talk about it without tears, but knowing that one day Lydia can run to me, that we can hug, and talk to one another is sometimes what gets me through the day. I can’t imagine anything better. And I can look forward to that day because of our Savior. Because of what He did for each of us, we have the assurance that the trials of our bodies here in mortality will one day pass. And I cannot wait for that day for my sweet angel girl.
I hope your Easter was filled with love, peace, and family.
Touching! Sarah is certainly changing, a cutie
She is growing up so fast – in so many ways!
There will be a day when Lydia will walk tall and straight to you, and say, “Mother.”
Best. Day. Ever.
