Clegg Family Reunion

Another week in one of our favorite places surrounded by some of our favorite people!

Our week was just oh so lovely, and as always, is best summed up in the dozens and dozens of pictures that we took. It was a week of great conversations, tubing, a monarch butterfly migration, learning about our names, lots of naps, intense Disney trivia games, coolers filled with itty-bitty fish, family history reading, kayaking, and a “gazillion” bubbles.

Until next year.

Travel

We had a 4:30 AM wake up call to begin our long travel day. The kids did fantastic and the day was long but smooth! We are probably the last people to do this, but for the first time, we listened to an audiobook on the drive. In the past, I’ve just read aloud, but this was so much fun! Our first book was The BFG by Roald Dahl.

Cabin Life

This cabin will forever hold such a tender place in my heart. I have memories spanning my entire life here and to have a place like that is such a blessing.

Miss you Grandma
The best hair you will ever see.

Food

As always, good food was abundant the whole week! I think the kids loved roasting the starbursts best!

Games

Any down time was filled with GAME TIME! Skip-Bo and Harry Potter UNO were go-tos. We also played an intense game of Disney Trivia and charades along with a fun Candy Game from Grammy – and several others sprinkled in!

Lake

And then there’s the lake. I love it so much. I love it early in the morning when it is smooth with giant pelicans gliding across it and all you hear is the quick plops of the fish as they jump. I love the squeals of my kiddos as they play in it during the heat of the day. I love this place.

Family Pictures

To cap it all off, we took some informal family pictures. These are my people and I love them so much.

Thank you Elise for all of the great photos. No one else posts photos. And telling what you did. Your Mom deserves a lot of credit for the fun things you do but I’m also sure the rest of you help too. It looks like so much fun. I loved seeing the kids. Lots of special memories made!
