Every year we do “Christmas School” a little different and I am actually really okay with it! This year was more on the simpler side and it totally worked this year. Last year, we started celebrating ADVENT and I love it! It has been a tradition we have wholeheartedly embraced. To go along with advent, we found a wonderful program that goes right along with it. Last year the theme was all about Christmas carols.
This year it is called, God With Us. Each day we focus on a character, moment, or place in the Christmas story. I love reading it personally but it has also been great to read it with the kids. I usually just summarize (it is definitely geared for adults) but it has been really special. Simple is great.
As an aside, because I just really love it, we also do the 25 Days of Christ. This pretty much takes over as our family scripture study for December and we have done it for several years. I love the focus it brings on the Savior.
