The first thing out of Mark’s mouth as we crossed the bridge into Coeur d’Alene was:
“We shouldn’t have come here.”
I immediately laughed {and sighed} because I knew exactly what he meant. We were never going to want to leave. And we didn’t!
Coeur d’Alene
Coeur d’Alene is just as beautiful and dreamy as I thought it would be. It is unbelievably gorgeous and we would honestly move up there in a heartbeat for its landscape.
Tubbs Hill
Our first stop was to Tubbs Hill. Tubbs Hill is surrounded by the beautiful lake on three sides and is just plain beautiful. We all got out and stretched out legs and couldn’t wait to explore.
The trail was busy with lots of people but it never felt intrusive. There was still plenty of moments of solitude with just our little bunch and everyone was friendly and kind along the way.
Every five steps I wanted to take another picture of all of the beauty around me. I was completely enthralled with the area.
McEuen Park
McEuen Park is right there with Tubbs Hill and once the kids caught a glimpse of the playground there was no stopping them! After our hike they ran {all of a sudden, all of those “tired” feelings on the trail vanished into thin playground air!}.
This park was A-MAZING! It really was. Everything was so clean and well-kept, open, and FUN! I was so impressed! We all played for a little while before heading off to dinner.
We ate at Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese and it was delicious! Now for some rest before more FUN!
Northern Idaho was always one of our favorite places to go and we returned often.
Glad you got to experience it.
I can completely understand – I am so glad we got to see it!
