Thanksgiving

My “Draft” center is bursting with posts from the last six weeks. So even though more than one holiday has come and gone, we had a beautiful Thanksgiving.

The kids and I were invited to a Thanksgiving craft party and had so much fun. I admire their willingness and desire to make new friends. And did I mention, it was so much fun?!

Our Thanksgiving was quiet and perfect at home. I had a lot weighing on my mind that week and spending time with my favorite people always grounds me. I loved the conversation we were able to have over dinner. Our hearts had so much to be grateful for. What was mentioned over and over again was moving to Colorado. I cannot tell you what a blessing it has been for our family. Our life feels almost unrecognizable in so many ways compared to a year ago. We feel so at peace here and are so grateful we put aside our own wants for what the Lord knew would be best.

We are grateful for our Savior. All we are and all we hope to be is because of Him. We are grateful for one another. Our relationships are everything. We are grateful for this year. For all that we have learned and become.

Tried a new pumpkin pie recipe and it was DELICIOUS!

How fun to make cute place mats and turkeys. Your pie looks incredible. How did you do the piping? Dinner looks delicious! You could be on a cooking show.
I too am thankful you are in Colorado. It is difficult to have your family so far away, but I experienced a “tender mercy” that let me know Heavenly Father wanted you there. Faith and trust in Him. Love to all!!
