Elder David A. Bednar’s message from this last General Conference was titled, The Times of Restitution of All Things. He spoke of restoration and it really resonated with me. With our study this year of the Doctrine and Covenants, my mind has thought a lot about those early days of the Church. Days that I …
Elder Dale G. Renlund’s messages always seem to hit home for me and this last General Conference was no exception. Preparation for the Second Coming seemed to be an underlying theme throughout this conference and the parable of the ten virgins was shared and expounded on multiple times. Elder Renlund also spoke about the Second …
Elder Sandino Roman of the Seventy shared a powerful message about faith. One of my favorite lines from his message was “faith in Jesus Christ is a bond of trust forged in loyalty and love.” This conference felt so focused on relationship for me. I felt repeatedly prompted to ponder on my relationship with the …
Elder Ronald A. Rasband shared a message about hastening. It’s such a great word that we read often in the Doctrine and Covenants but maybe it loses a little bit of its punch. Elder Ulisses Soares’ messages seem to be just what my spirit needs. He has a way of teaching that touches my spirit and this General Conference was no different. He spoke of spiritual submissiveness. This is a topic that I have had my own wrestle with through a lot of my adult life. I feel …
Elder Patrick Kearon has become a quick favorite of mine. I am grateful for his tender spirit and messages. His latest message was about joy and worship. And while I enjoyed it the first time I heard it, it was one of those that really caused me to ponder when I read and studied it …
Elder Neil L. Andersen shared such a powerful message on hope. Hope is such an incredible feeling and gift. Sadly, I think it is one of those gifts we don’t really appreciate until feelings of hopelessness creep into our life. Then we see it for all of its goodness. I know in my life, feelings …
