Chipped Teeth

Just three days after we moved to Colorado, Jacob and Sarah were playing charades. While they were playing, Sarah fell and her two front teeth chipped. It was pretty bad. It was a perfect half circle chipped off of her teeth.

The night it happened

The timing could not have been worse. Since we had only moved three days prior, finding a dentist wasn’t high up on my priority list at the time. But the REAL worst part was…Sarah was so very sad about it. She cried and cried and cried. I am sure her teeth were really sensitive, but it was more about what she looked like.

She was so sad about going to church and meeting new people with her “vampire teeth”. That’s what she kept calling them and she just hated them. I felt horrible for her.

But I am happy to say that her teeth have been FIXED! Sarah was so brave. Sarah has always been really resistant of the dentist. It’s a thing to get her to go. So getting them fixed was a big deal for her. But I was so very proud of how brave she was. She did beautifully. The dentist even commented on how very well she did. It broke my heart to see tears silently rolling down her cheeks, while sitting perfectly still, and letting them do what they needed.

Being so brave

I love my Sarah girl. Growing up has its ups and downs, but oh I love watching our sweet girl grow!

My heart hurt so much for Sarah when she broke her teeth. I’m so happy for Sarah that her teeth were fixed and her perfect smile is back.
