Our sweet Sarah is nine years old! She is growing up so quickly. She is such sweet goodness that just radiates from the inside out. I love her so very much and loved celebrating her special day.
Art Party
Do you want to know the crazy thing? Sarah said she wanted an “art party” but yet we didn’t do one speck of art 😜! But even though we didn’t do any art on Sarah’s birthday – she loves arts and crafts!
Sarah requested double chocolate waffles and bacon for breakfast. We then let Dad sleep for a couple hours (night shifts are so tough!) and then Sarah wanted to go to the arcade. It is funny and strange to me how much the kiddos liked the arcade when we did it for Jacob’s birthday, but it was another win for Sarah.
We then went to Chilis for dinner and then came home for cards and presents – followed by ice cream cake!

Sarah has grown up so much this year. I feel like we are entering a new stage which is so exciting.
One of my favorite things about Sarah is her love of people. This year her sphere has grown and she is quite the social butterfly. She loves people. She is a friend to those around her and I have loved watching her circle grow.
This has been the year of the pony tail. Sarah has started to want to do her own hair and when she does it – it is always a pony tail!
Speaking of style changes – Sarah has changed a lot this year. For years, Sarah has loved curled hair, the color pink, and DRESSES! This year, she just wants “simple”. Her tastes are changing, and sometimes I miss that little girl in pink dresses, but it is exciting to see her figure out who her own style.
Sarah wants to try everything! She has so many interests and they vary widely. She loves math and science – but also art and crafts. She loves catching frogs but also having tea parties. I love her exploring mentality and can’t wait to see where her passions take her.
Sarah’s heart is big. She loves people. She wants to make the world a happier and kinder place for everyone. And she already does. She is my “words of affirmation” kiddo and is always writing notes for all of us in the family. They are treasures.
Sarah, we love you so very much. Thank you for being ours. We are always on Team Sarah. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you. We love you forever, sweetheart.
Sarah radiates happiness and joy.
It’s exciting to see how she grows and changes.
It’s great to celebrate her.
Yes it is!
