Project Office

We are really chugging away on some house projects and it is ADDICTING! It is making our hearts so happy to see our home slowly transform into a place that feels more like “us”. And we are finally starting a project that is in a main living space – OUR OFFICE!

This is the first room you see when you come into our home and, honestly, it’s been about as blah as it can be. It’s been a mostly unused space with the exception of the piano. The only time we come in here is to play the piano and we know it can be so much more.

In a weird, crazy way, I am glad that it has taken us so long to do these projects. Because I feel like it has given me the time to find what really brings me joy when it comes to my home. I love how the girls’ bedrooms turned out and can’t wait to bring that same feeling to the other spaces in our home.

For the office, I wanted it to feel cozy, functional, and nostalgic. And first things first, we are adding COLOR because color brings us joy! Blue is our favorite around here and we wanted to add it to this space.

Pretty much everything else we are adding to the room we have gradually been getting for birthdays and Christmas and now we are bringing it all together. We are adding a big, cozy chair to snuggle up with a good book, along with a new rug and curtains. A desk for a computer and bookshelves for printer and other office supplies, and to display some of our favorite memorabilia items that have been sitting in our storage just waiting to be released! And then we are doing a gallery wall above the piano and I am SO excited for how that is going to look. It has been so fun to bring in some new items and also shop our own home for pieces that bring us joy and put them in a new space. I can’t wait for it to all come together!
