This talk has been brought to my attention several times over the last six months and the Holy Ghost has been making it very known to me that I needed this one. There were things in this talk by Elder Jonathan S. Schmidt that I really needed to hear on a personal level. They say …
12th Anniversary
At the end of February, Mark and I celebrated our twelfth anniversary! Our anniversary fell on a Sunday + a Sunday where Mark was in the middle of his night shifts which = essentially no time in the same room, let alone a solid conversation with one another. We have entered a very busy stage …
{REVIEW} Get Ready for the Code: Books A, B, and C
I have heard of the Explode the Code series for as long as we’ve been homeschooling. But for us, I never really saw a place for it. HOWEVER, that changed this last year. When Ben was having a difficult time learning his A, B, C’s, I really did not know what to do. I tried …
Valentine’s Day
We had a lovely Valentine’s Day. We took a break from our normal school and did this little mini Valentine’s Day unit from The Mindful Heart and it was so sweet. We read scriptures and poetry about love. We read about who St. Valentine was. We read our favorite picture books about love and Valentine’s. …
Unseen Oceans
In February, our family fun was to head down to Denver to explore the Unseen Oceans exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We love this place so much. This exhibit was so fun and interactive. The kids had an absolute blast exploring all of the different nooks and crannies!

Benjamin finished the Preschool course from The Good and the Beautiful in January and it was an extremely happy day! School has not come easy for Mr. Ben and he ended up doing this course twice. Letters were just not clicking for him – BUT I have spent a lot of time researching preschool curriculums …
2023
January came and went in a flash – but in February we were finally able to sit down as a family and talk about what our goals were for the upcoming year. If you are new around here, we are a very goal-oriented family. We believe in striving to become. This was such a fun …
Are You Still Willing?
*** I miss our monthly family picture. However, my Sundays have changed a lot with my calling and, sadly, family pictures have not been happening. So instead, you get this nice, moody picture that we took at Rocky Mountain National Park last summer. *** Elder Kevin W. Pearson shared a beautiful and thought-provoking message about …
Power of the Covenant Path
Lydia was asked to give a talk in Primary. At first, I must admit, I really didn’t know what to do. I was grateful that they wanted to include Lydie but unsure about how to help her with this. I asked Sarah if she would help Lydia and she was thrilled! This talk was tender …
Come and See
Jacob was asked to give a talk in Primary back in January. I am so proud of this boy. Talking in front of others is very intimidating for him but Jacob never ceases to amaze me with his strength. Here is his talk so that we can remember his testimony right now. “In the New …
