Life

My 32nd Birthday

I feel like I am definitely entering the era of life when I literally can NOT remember how old I am! I remember as a kid, and even young adult, not understanding HOW people did not know how old they were. I get it now. It’s not that I am embarrassed of my age, because I am NOT, but sometimes I seriously have to do some quick math in my head to calculate my age now!

This was such a fun birthday though. I wouldn’t say I am a big birthday person, of course I would feel pretty bad if it was forgotten, but I don’t need a whole lot of fanfare or anything. But this year, it worked out for us to go down to Draper to visit family and get in our Halloween traditions on the weekend of my birthday and it was the first time I think I’ve been with my family for a birthday since I went away to college!

My mom made it so special – and I even got the traditional birthday placemat {if you know, you know}. After a delicious breakfast, we headed over to the pumpkin patch which is one of my favorite fall traditions. I don’t know why I like it so much, but there is just something about it.

We all picked our pumpkins and loaded up to go back to Gramps and Grammy’s house. Once we had lunch and got Lydia settled down for a nap, we went over to Megan and Linda’s home to see their new puppy, Zoe. She is so darling, and we didn’t forget about our girl, Harper.

It was great to give the kids their puppy fix because that is not happening anytime soon around here!

We came back to my parents home and chatted and relaxed and my Mom made a scrumptious birthday dinner. It was so fun to be with everyone and just enjoy time with one another.

It was a great day and I am so grateful!
