I love this birthday boy so much. Last week we were able to celebrate Mark’s 39th Birthday! I’ll tell you what, it’s tricky trying to plan things to do in the current state of things. We are keeping our kiddos close to home until things settle a bit. Plus, we have had such bad air quality lately due to fires in the west that we are trying to limit our outside time as well {respiratory things are a big thing for our Lydie Lou}. That’s pretty limiting and that has made us all a little stir crazy!
Mark was trying to think of what we could do, and neither of us have ANY clue how we came to this idea, but we decided to do our first {and probably last!} donut eating contest! I went down to our favorite donut shop and got three dozen donuts! The kids were so excited when Mark brought them into the kitchen and told the what we were going to do.
We all had a good time laughing around the table trying our best to eat as many donuts as we could. Jacob and Mark tied as the winners!
Our day was lazy and wonderful. We loved celebrating this man we love so much. This year has been a stressful one for Mark. He would never admit it but he has had a lot on his shoulders. He is our rock. I am so grateful for this good man. He makes us better and we would be lost without him.
