I love autumn activities. Basically, I just love autumn (also, Jacob really wants us to call it autumn now because he thinks it sounds so much better than “fall” – haha!). I love the crisp weather. It is easily my favorite season.
The week before Halloween, we went over to Salt Lake for some family fun! First stop, Little Haunts at This Is the Place Heritage Park.
Little Haunts
This was a first for us! The past several years we have gone to Hogle Zoo for some Halloween fun but we decided to switch things up this year. The only downer is it was cold and very wet. But the kiddos wanted to go for it – so we did! We bundled up and we had a great time.
Some highlights were the train, the pumpkin roll, old-fashioned donuts {thanks Linda for winning the pumpkin roll!}, and pony rides.
WitchFest
Next up was WitchFest at Gardner Village! This is a tradition and favorite! We love seeing our old familiar witches and see the new ones that come every year.
Pumpkin Patch
Our final stop was to the pumpkin patch! I love the pumpkin patch and we found the cutest family farm patch and store. The kids loved snuggling with the kitty in the store and finding their pumpkins. The upside was the rain had finally stopped but the downside – a WHOLE lot of mud!
It was a FULL day and oh so much fun.
Carving Pumpkins
A couple days before Halloween we carved our pumpkins. The kiddos loved designing their pumpkins and Mark REALLY got into it this year! I really just live for holidays and traditions and this was just the best. I am so grateful for this family of mine and for these traditions that we all love.
What fun Halloween activities! There costumes were wonderful. Always love to see the fun activities you have. Love you all. Grandma Berning
