Our every day November moments🍂

Sweet Brother

Lydie has not been sleeping well the last little while.  After several long nights, Ben asked me why I was so tired and I told him that Lydie was struggling with sleeping.  He told me not to worry about it, and he would be with her.  He is so sweet.  Later that night, when I was getting ready for bed, I realized that Lydie’s monitor was not in its spot on the nightstand.  After looking around for it, I went into Ben’s room and found him holding the monitor, asleep in his bed.  He is so thoughtful and cares deeply about Lydie (and me, too).

Bowling

We had such a great visit with Gramps and Grammy – a definite highlight was BOWLING.  Read all about it HERE

Primary Program

Sarah, Benjamin, and Lydia had their Primary Program.  It was Sarah’s last program which was so bittersweet.  She loves Primary and is sad to leave it next year.  Also, I don’t know if I have ever had such instant emotion completely overwhelm me.  We decided (a little last minute) to program Lydie’s “talker” to say her part.  I lost it.  It was such a tender moment.  And I am so glad my parents could be here with us.

Memorabilia

For the last several months, we have been trying to go through old boxes and clean out our basement a little bit.  Lydie was helping Mark one morning and he got some fun pictures of her with his baseball helmet.

Scrapbooking

Every year I tell myself that I am not going to wait until the end of the year to work on our scrapbooks, and almost every year it STILL happens!  I spent dozens of hours this month, and a whole lot of late nights (which was not helpful with Lydie not sleeping well), to finish these up.  But I was thrilled to get them done the weekend before Thanksgiving so I can enjoy the season without that added stress.  They are now safely under the Christmas tree.  But, note to self, start earlier!

Thanksgiving School

We love holiday school days.  We read lots of Thanksgiving books, had a yummy Thanksgiving charcuterie board, and made the sweetest holiday magnets for our fridge!

Dollhouse Construction

Last year for Christmas, Mark and I had the grand idea of building Sarah a dollhouse.  These things are so hard!  It’s going to be magical when it is done, but it is a whole lot of work!  One year later, we are still in the construction phase – but to be fair, we have gone months and months without bringing it out.  But Mark and Ben have been busy little builders and it is finally coming along.

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be grateful for and had a beautiful Thanksgiving.  Read all about it HERE

Advent

We love celebrating advent.  The last day of November was the first day and it was a wonderful way to begin the season.
