Our every day November moments 🍁

What’s In a Name?

I planned a family history activity for the Primary girls and it was so much fun. I loved getting to research all of their first and last names and I think they had some fun, too.

The Dollhouse World

Mark and I decided that we were going to make the girls a dollhouse for Christmas (shhhh…don’t tell). Oh my goodness it is so fun but SO MUCH WORK. It feels like we have been moving at a snails pace but we are hoping this will be such a special gift for our girls.

First Snow

The rest of the month might have been dry, but we loved this first snow.

Christmas Tonie

Lydie loves her tonies and so we couldn’t resist getting her a new Christmas tonie. She LOVES it.

Read-a-Thon

Autumn Bucket List βœ” We had a read-a-thon as a family and it was amazing! You can read all about it HERE.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Sarah I finished reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and LOVED it! So then a movie night was in order!

Scrapbooks

Every year I tell myself I am not going to wait until the end of the year to work on our scrapbooks, and every year my life becomes consumed with them in November. I really love how they turned out this year. But there were a whole lot of late nights to get there. Another Christmas present done!

Closet Construction

Way back towards the beginning of the year, Mark and I decided we wanted to paint and add some built ins to the girls’ closets. They both have large walk in closets which are wonderful – but they were not very efficient. We are so excited for thse changes!

Autumn Hike

Autumn Bucket List βœ” We went on a family hike on the Poudre River Trail to test out Lydie’s new huckleberry cart. You can read all about it HERE.

Thanksgiving School

We had a great Thanksgiving School reading stories, making leaves for our gratitude tree, and learning all about Pilgrims.

Gratitude Tree

Autumn Bucket List βœ” This was our first time ever doing this and it was really sweet to see what the kids were thankful for.

Baptism Photo Shoot

Ben and I went to the Fort Collins Temple to do a little photo shoot before his baptism next month. I asked Ben, “How did you get so handsome?“. His response, “Mom, you do not understand. I am growing up!“. I love this boy.

Thanksgiving

Maybe the best Thanksgiving ever. Read all about it HERE.
