Journal // June 2024

“June is ‘bustin out all over!” If you recognize that phrase, we need to be friends!

Our every day June moments ☀

Daisy the Bunny

I was out watering our flowers and almost stepped on this sweet little thing. She was so darling and so tiny.

Air Forts

Summer weather makes air forts WAY more fun! Benjamin and Lydie are having a blast!

Baseball Games

The only down side to baseball season is it is SO HOT! But we had a great time watching our favorite player!

Painting Shelves

I tried to paint Sarah’s IKEA shelves but it was a bit of a flop. Despite sanding, two coats of primer, and two coats of paint, it was chipping. But I am determined! We will figure it out.

P.S. I am painting it a beautiful green color – this was during the primer phase.

Ballet Recital

Our favorite ballerina, Sarah, had her spring showcase. Read all about it HERE.

The Human Body

Jacob and Sarah finished their science unit all about the human body. It was a blast!

Miniature Golfing

✔ SPRING BUCKET LIST

This was such a fun night together as a family. I have absolutely loved doing a family bucket list.

Benjamin’s Language Arts

Ben finished his level of language arts! Oh boy, he has worked so hard to get here. It was such a happy moment for him and I was so proud of him.

Atomic Habits

I don’t read a whole lot of self-help books but I really enjoyed this one.

Strawberry Jam

I almost missed strawberry season! I squeezed in a day filled with making strawberry jam and it is so very delicious.

15 Dozen Chocolate Chip Cookies

I spent a whole lot of time in the kitchen this month. One day I made a whopping fifteen dozen cookies for the men in my church congregation for Father’s Day. It was a long day but I think it all turned out well.

Father’s Day

We loved celebrating our favorite man. Read all about it HERE.

Piano Recital

Jacob and Sarah had their spring piano recital and did FABULOUS! Read all about it HERE.

Colds

Lydia and I were both hit with yet another round of the cold. It was no fun yet somehow Lydia remained the absolute sweetest throughout it.

Mississippi Planning

I usually am a lot more on top of planning but I finally got our Mississippi trip planned for our family! We are coming for you this October, Mississippi!

First Day of Summer

We love celebrating the change of seasons. And doing our season bucket list is now just making it SO MUCH BETTER!

Feeling Happy to Be a Homemaker

My kids are at that stage where they talk about what they want to be when they grow up pretty frequently. They frequently ask me what I wanted to be when I was a kid. And this is it. I am living my dream in so many ways right now. I love being a wife, mother, and homemaker.

Standardized Testing

Colorado homeschool laws require that we do standardized testing. It was Sarah’s turn this year. She was such a trooper!

Jacob’s 12th Birthday

We love this guy so much. Click HERE for all of his birthday fun.

Shark Teeth

Benjamin got Jacob a digging kit for his birthday. They had so much fun doing it together.
