As Jacob is wrapping up his fourth grade year he has grown a lot in his reading. He continues to just devourer books. He often has multiple books going at the same time, which secretly drives me crazy, but it works for him! He has jumped several reading levels this year, but I asked him what his favorite fourth grade level books were and so here they are!
Jacob’s picks:
- A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond
- Walter the Lazy Mouse by Marjorie Flack
- Uncle Wiggily’s Story Book by Howard R. Garis
- A Tree for Peter by Kate Seredy
- The Happy Hollisters by Jerry West (Jacob loves this whole series!)
Each level I pick five required books that Jacob needs to read. They are my favs and OOZING with positive, uplifting messages.
Mom’s Picks:
- Happy Little Family by Rebecca Caudill (I love this entire series!)
- The Courage of Sarah Noble by Alice Dalgliesh
- In Grandma’s Attic by Arleta Richardson (Another series – loved them all!)
- A Tree for Peter by Kate Seredy
- Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Happy Reading!
