We have had such a delightfully peaceful December. It has happened before, but last Christmas in particular, felt so chaotic to me. I just remember feeling, this is not how Christmas is supposed to be. So I committed to myself that this year was going to be different and it has been wonderful.
I finished all my Christmas shopping and projects BEFORE Thanksgiving, and it was the best gift I could have given myself for Christmas. Because it has given our family quality time together.
Every evening (almost), we’ve been watching a Christmas movie together and we have all loved that cozy time. We have also been able to sprinkle in other simple, meaningful family moments. We made Christmas paper chains, watercolored some winter scenes together, made lots of cookies, and decorated graham cracker houses. It has been the best.
