Disneyland

Earlier this year, as we were approaching parenting our first teenager (looking at you, Jacob!), Mark and I thought it would be a special idea to go on a trip. So for Jacob’s 13th birthday we gave him a special father and son trip to Disneyland! We decided to wait until September for the crowds to go down and the heat. This week was finally the week!

Mark and Jacob had such a great time! The partied from sun up to sun down! Their favorite rides were:

Jacob

• Grizzly River Run – first time on this one – and despite getting stuck on it once – was a quick favorite!
• Pirates of the Caribbean – one of their most visited rides!
• Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – another first time experience for Jacob and it did not disappoint – he said it was his favorite!

Mark

• Haunted Mansion – decked out for Halloween and so made it extra fun!
• Guardians of the Galaxy Break Out – first time for both of them – a fun favorite!
• Matterhorn Bobsleds – memorable because it broke down on them and so they got to walk behind the scenes of it all!

I am so happy for this special time that Mark and Jacob were able to have together. And I am grateful for this exciting stage of life that we are entering!
