Jacob and I received some new callings this month! When we had all of the realignments in our stake and ward, Jacob was released as the President of the Deacon’s Quorum. He has now been called to serve as the First Counselor in the Deacon’s Quorum in our new ward. He is excited – and happy he only has to attend meetings when the President is unable to 😉
I also got a new calling after my release as a girls Primary activity leader. I have been asked to serve as a youth Sunday School teacher. I am excited (and a little nervous). I have never served in the Sunday School organization before – EVER – and so this is new territory for me. I have also never served with the youth since we have lived in Colorado so it will give me an opportunity to get to know them better.
Being a Sunday School teacher will stretch you. Callings with the youth are always both challenging and rewarding.
I think it will, too. But I am hopeful for a lot of good as well.
