A couple weeks ago, Gramps and Grammy came for a visit! The kids were thrilled to have some Gramps and Grammy time. The highlight was definitely introducing the kiddos to the wonders of Chuck E Cheese. Oh goodness, I have probably not been there in at least twenty-five years. It brought all sorts of memories but we also agreed it was far more complicated than it once was. Bring back the tokens and tickets!
But the kids had a great time shooting lots of things in the games and eating pizza! As we were leaving they asked, “Why have you never taken us here before?!” I guess they have been missing out 😉
We did a whole lot of talking and just spending time together. My Dad took the three bigs to see the new Lilo and Stitch movie at the theaters and my Mom was so patient with me while I made her sit and help me go through dozens and dozens of old family pictures. I was especially grateful for all of the good conversation I was able to have with my Mom and grateful for my Dad for entertaining the kids so we could do that.
Only a couple more weeks until reunion time!
