Billings Montana Temple

We are big on traditions around here. We started a tradition on our very first family trip to Arizona to visit a temple – even just the grounds – on our family trips. We love learning about these temples and the growth of the church in the area.

Montana has only one temple and it is in Billings. Billings is the largest city in Montana and is a hub for eastern Montana and northern Wyoming. This is the 66th temple in the church and was dedicated in 1999 by President Gordon B. Hinckley.

The temple has this beautiful rock cliff on one side of it and it is just a beautiful location. We always enjoying walking around the temple, looking for things that make it unique, and just feeling the Spirit that is there. I have no doubt that this temple is a great blessing to many in Montana and Wyoming.
