It has been several months since we have visited one of our favorite Denver locations – the Nature and Science Museum – and it was so great to go back! They had a more historical exhibit called Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia and I was ALL for it! I thought it was all so fascinating!

The exhibit was filled with these beautifully intricate carvings and sculptures – it was amazing. It was really interesting to see and learn how advanced this empire was in the Southeast Asia jungle and to learn about the theories that led to its end. The technology that is helping archeologists and anthropoligists learn more is so cool.

And as a fun bonus – as we were eating lunch at the museum we got to reconnect with someone that used to be in our ward back in Denver while Mark was in school. And extra bonus – we learned that her Dad is in our ward here in northern Colorado now. It’s such a small world! But it was so fun to see each other and our kids ten years later.
