35th Birthday

Last week I got to celebrate my 35th birthday. My actual birthday was on a day where there was truly no time or opportunity to celebrate anything. Mark was in the middle of a work week so he would be sleeping the whole day, Lydia had therapy, Sarah had ballet, and I had my orientation for CNA school (I will do a whole post about that later).

So we celebrated a couple days later and it worked out great. We were going to go to the pumpkin patch but it was rainy all day (I love the rain – no complaints!). We went out to eat at Olive Garden and I just loved spending time with my people.

We came home and did ice cream and cards and presents. I am so very blessed.

This week we were finally able to make it to the pumpkin patch. It was HOT! I just don’t think that 85 degree weather should exist in October! Our weather has been all over the place the last couple weeks. So Lydie hung out in the shade as much as she could and we enjoyed some time at the pumpkin patch. We went to this one last year and it was so darling we wanted to go back.

The corn maze was LOTS harder this year!
My new favorite picture.

I have officially entered that age where I have to calculate in my mind how old I am. This never made any sense to me as a kid or young adult, but here I am. I am so grateful for my wonderful family and friends and all that they do to make me feel loved. I am so grateful for them. Cheers to a peaceful year ahead.
